Banner Sky was clean, well stocked and a great location. The proximity to downtown Banner Elk was perfect and a great base to explore the area for an elopement location. We appreciated the sound machines as it is a little close to the road, although there isn't much traffic noise during the night. Unfortunately the weather was the greatest, otherwise would have taken advantage of the large deck and fire pit. I would definitely book this property again as it is an overall great value.

We rented your adorable cabin for 10 days (initially) as we were waiting for our home in Eagles Nest to finish being built. Some unexpected delays occurred and we extended our stay (multiple times). It was the perfect place for us to call "home" while we were in transition. We LOVE the outdoor space! Will keep Banner Sky in mind when we need a place for extended family to enjoy. This was our first trip to Sugar Mountain. We came for snow tubing and snow boarding. Our stay here at Banner Sky was wonderful. We look forward to staying here again in the future. As newcomers to Sugar Mountain we learned to make reservations ahead of time for popular restaurants. If you want to ski or snowboard plan a day ahead, and if you want to ride the Wilderness Run coaster reserve in advance. Holiday weekends are the toughest to work with so come here during the week if possible. Enjoy!

Loved every minute of this vacation. The house was very clean and cozy. It had everything we needed and then some. Very quiet community and beautiful views of the mountains all around. My kids loved the swing. There are several restaurants in the area and Food Lion supermarket nearby. We found Chinese takeout in the same Food Lion plaza. Thank you so much better Banner sky.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin house was perfect in every way of comfort and convenience. Excellent decor and furnishings as well. We were close enough to visit our excursion fun at Sugar Mountain, Alpine Coaster - what a blast - and Hawksnest Tubing! Thank you for all your do to ensure we are well taken care of. Our party was 4 in our group with two teenagers and we know how they can be sometimes, but all was smooth. Again, fun trip and new experiences. Thank you for everything!

We found the cabin to be beautiful and comfortable. Our snow tubing trip got cancelled due to high winds, but we headed over to Blowing Rock for winterfest and had a good time. The kids took advantage of all the snow in the backyard and enjoyed the fire pit.

This visit was our first time visiting the Banner Elk area. This beautiful, cozy cabin definitely made our first visit memorable. Seeing beautiful mountain views with fireplace as we sipped our hot coffee in the morning was priceless. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Touch of Christmas decorations gave it very warm, cozy and holiday vibes. I will definitely stay here again highly recommend it to everyone. Five stars for us!

Banner Sky was great! It was the perfect long weekend get away for my husband and I. We have 3 beautiful girls that are 25,21, and 20, so now we are empty nesters. It was a perfect place to stay.During our stay we were able to go for the very 1st time to a Christmas tree farm. We had a blast. We hope to stay here again next year.

Banner Sky was an amazing place for the two of us to stay while attending a wedding in Banner Elk. It's quiet, clean, and a great amount of space for 2-4 people. We needed an iron and ironing board, and one was delivered the next morning. Overall, a fantastic experience and would recommend renting through Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals.

We came here 2 days before our son's wedding on 4/17/21. This is the most ideal, comfortable happy space to stay in. I love the location, the decor of the cozy cabin. Tasteful in each and every room. Our daughter and son in law spent 2 days here arriving from Tallahassee. They saw a bear in the road just before they arrived. I looked at many cabins online and this one was absolutely perfect. If we ever downsize I would consider the floor plan. It is so livable. The windows, ship lap, cozy fireplace and decor make it a happy and peaceful place. Thank you!

What a beautiful cabin! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Banner Sky. We got to have fun outside playing in the snow, spent time playing games and chatting with a hot drink in front of the fire, and went out for a delicious dinner at Stonewall's. It was just the getaway we needed.

The cabin is in a great location if you are here to ski or enjoy area parks or whatnot. The cabin is almost brand new and it is put together well, tall doors, high quality bathrooms, granite countertops and very nice overall. The tankless water heater is a bonus for a cabin. The gas fireplace is OK but puts off very little heat so it is really for aesthetics only. Do not use Apple or Google to get to this property, they will take you to the wrong place. This is located directly across 194 from the Elk River Airport. One of the comments I saw on VRBO was about the road noise. When I looked at the windows, it was determined that they were not shut correctly. These are Pella windows that have two locking clasps, you have to loosen the bottom one a bit to get the window to release and then make sure that the upper clamp grabs the window and then lock that down before locking the bottom one. When I did that, almost all the road noise went away. If you are going to ski while here, get your tickets ahead of time and be there an hour before they open once you get them. If you are coming in from the Boone area, go via 194 through Valle Crucis, the traffic on 184 by Sugar is a parking lot. All in all, a great stay in a beautiful place.
